The day in Cairo
3 December 2019 (Tuesday)
My very first time to Egypt was in December , 2019. This was plan a year ago before departing to Egypt. I always dream of going to see pyramid, pharaoh, Nile river etc and all the historical places around this country when I was young. Finally I made it to go with four of my good friend.
I'm going to share some photo and brief description below, not much but at least is a memory from my travelling.
Is my first time also taking AirArabia, is a comfortable plane although is not a big aircraft.
This is the meal from the AirArabia, nice portion and with their rice I think is good taste. Side dishes are potatoes with little gravy, one bread which personally I quite like it and there is a desserts looks like brownie but actually is a chocolate cake.
When we touch down Cairo airport, we go to our AirBnb straight away from airport and is very near to the great pyramid of Giza. Let me show you some picture of our AirBnB.
The house consider clean and tidy, just nice to fit in 4 of us. After getting everything settle down, the land lord bring us to take our dinner at near by shop. He recommend us to take their local famous food called Koshary . Below is the shop he took us.
This is the food and I like it so much, is tasty. Is kinda of macaroni, fried spring union, some kind of thin noodle and their special sauce.
The man at the right corner of the picture is the land lord, on the right side of the picture from front Ling Goh, Xiang Xiang and Marcus at the last right corner, and me in the front left picture.
Below some street photo and is taken only from my mobile phone.
Some bread shop and I think their main food include biscuits and bread.
After dinner, we decided to wait at our apartment and take photo of the great pyramid of Giza.
The photos taken at the night time around 9pm. We didn’t purchase a ticket to watch the light show but we able to see the pyramid from the roof top of our apartment.
4 December 2019 (Wednesday)
The next morning, our local tour guide bring us to a very local breakfast market and the name of the bread is Aish Baladi. This bread similar to pita, but made with whole wheat flour, this Egyptian flatbread is traditionally baked in scorching-hot ovens in Cairo's bustling markets.
The last photo showing another type of bread Falafel with vege and some beans inside. We had our breakfast in the car then heading to the Step pyramid of Djoser, Saqqara.
Sharing a video when we enter inside the tomb of Step pyramid of Djoser.
After finished visiting the step pyramid of Djoser, we go to the next destination - Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga) in Coptic Cairo is one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt.
Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church is traditionally believed to have been built on the spot where the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and the infant Jesus Christ, rested at the end of their journey into Egypt.
The rest spot for the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and infant Jesus Christ.
Next, we arrived at The Egyptian Museum. It is huge and a lot of ancient collection to see.
I'm not going to show a lot of picture as there are too many, I will pick some of it.
Below some photos in museum.
Next, we head to The Sphinx of Memphis, Two Column Bases and Ramesses The Great.
